Osage orange, concrete & walnut coffee table Review

Osage orange, concrete & walnut coffee table

One of a kind! Live edge osage orange between two matching concrete slabs on top of a black walnut, tusked through tenon base. There is a reason you don’t see any tables built like this. As the wood in the center needs to expand and contract with the seasons and humidity, the concrete does not allow such movement. Jake at Aberrant Works tackled that issue in this one off piece. Finished with a lustrous oil and toped with polyurethane, this table is both beautiful and built to be used and abused for generations to come. The traditional glueless, pressure fit joinery in the base will never weaken and last for centuries as well. A truly timeless one of a kind piece of furniture as is our aim at Koppen Woodworks.
